Wildly Constant

Keeping Things Whole by Mark Strand

In a field
I am the absence
of field.
This is
always the case.
Wherever I am
I am what is missing.
When I walk
I part the air
and always
the air moves in
to fill the spaces
where my body's been.
We all have reasons
for moving.
I move
to keep things whole.

It's one of those months

This month has been an incredibly rough month. A new semester.A new roommate. A new life. Reliving and remembering a special someone my family lost almost a year ago. On September 28th, 2011 my family lost an auntie, a mother, a sister, a best friend to cancer. It's been one of those months. In fact it's been one of those years. But even though I lost someone so dear to me and shattered into a million pieces I have grown in some ways. I have learned to be strong and get back up when I fall and that sometimes we have to carry others that can't do it just yet by themselves. I miss my auntie but I know that I'll see her again someday.

The Aly Project

Hi there, my name is Aly. This is just a place for me to document. I like to document, so here we go.
